We have invested heavily in computer-aided design and manufacturing. By utilising CAD/CAM technology we can speed up the delivery of your framing system, as well as, avoid errors in the process.
WHAT IS CAD/CAM MANUFACTURING
The use of software and computer-controlled machinery to automate manufacturing processes is called CAM. CAD/CAM software is used to turn designs and concepts into physical parts. It’s an integral part of many manufacturing processes including the production or machining stages where a computer numerical control (or “machinist”) uses programs and machine tools programmed with specific instructions on how they should cut through various materials depending upon what design has been programmed in beforehand.
HOW WE USE CAD/CAM
We use Solidworks to create the CAD design, we then use CAM systems through computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
CAD and CAM are two of our most important tools, which we have combined to create high-quality modular framing systems. With the combination of these technologies, our CNC machines translate designs into physical objects with machined finishes by using computerised numerical control (CNC) processes.
Due to our CAD/CAM capabilities, we are able to offer a quick turnaround and error-free services which will save your time, frustration or money in the long run!
OUR CAM MANUFACTURING MACHINES
We offer our clients our CAD/CAM manufacturing capabilities for all their aluminium framing needs. From milling and turning to multi-axis machining. Explore our machines in more detail.
Double Headed Mitre Saws
The double-headed Mitre saw can cut from 20mm up to 6000 mm for our standard aluminium profile. For other nonferrous metals, such as steel or stainless steel a maximum length of 10,000mm possible with this tool is available! The dual heads allow precision dual cutting and multiple angle adjustments between 20 Degrees 90 degrees.
4 Axis Machining Centres
The 4 Axis machining centre is capable of rotating the long machine bed, which allows for dual face machining. Tool magazine holds 8 tools at once and these can be changed out during one cycle to perform different functions such as cutting or boring – making this an extremely efficient way in which complicated parts are produced quickly!
CNC Router Machines
Our CNC router machine is for cutting and machining foam inserts, aluminium tooling plates, rubber plastics & nylon. With the ability to size 3m x 2 meters allows us a dynamic service that complements our profile systems in aluminium.
High Capacity Automated Production Saw
The high capacity automated production saw is ideal for managing large batch quantities and cutting non-ferrous materials with ease.
